Cairo: The Digital School and the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development (SFSD) have unveiled Jusur Al Foras, an initiative designed to prepare 100,000 young Egyptians for the job market. This initiative, supported by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), aims to bridge the gap between skills and job opportunities, facilitating a direct path to employment for the youth.
According to Emirates News Agency, the partnership was formalized through an agreement signed by Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence and Remote Work Application and Chairman of The Digital School Board of Directors; Saeed Al Eter, CEO of MBRGI; and Naguib Sawiris, Founder of Orascom Investment Holding and Vice Chairman of SFSD. Jusur Al Foras aims to connect at least 10,000 participants directly to job opportunities, creating a sustainable economic impact.
The initiative is a collaborative effort between The Digital School, operating under MBRGI, and the recruitment platform Shaghalni. It will combine vocational and professional training with job market integration. Omar Sultan Al Olama emphasized the initiative's role in equipping youth with necessary skills for employment, highlighting the importance of the partnership with SFSD in achieving these objectives.
Al Olama also noted The Digital School's success since its launch in 2020, particularly in remote learning and AI application integration, which has expanded its reach to Arab students and youth. Saeed Al Eter underscored the partnership's role in empowering young generations with the skills needed to positively impact their quality of life and job prospects.
Naguib Sawiris reiterated SFSD's commitment to job creation as a means to empower youth and integrate them economically, emphasizing innovative, data-driven solutions to match the evolving job market. Omar Khalifa, CEO of Shaghalni, highlighted the initiative's potential to prepare youth for the job market through skill development and capacity building.
The initiative employs a "Skills-to-Jobs" model, focusing on aligning training with job market demands and prioritizing employment outcomes. By leveraging digital and blended learning, Jusur Al Foras aims to reach youth across Egypt, irrespective of geographic, social, or educational backgrounds.
The Digital School will lead the qualification programs through its Skills Academies, while Shaghalni will analyze the job market and facilitate employer partnerships. The joint support from MBRGI and SFSD establishes the initiative as a model for tech-driven public-private partnerships, showcasing the role of philanthropy and innovation in empowering youth on a national scale.
The launch of Jusur Al Foras reflects the strong ties between the UAE and Egypt, offering high-impact solutions that benefit youth and communities, and demonstrating a shared commitment to human capital development and economic opportunity expansion.
