DP World ILT20 Season 5 to Launch in November with Expanded Partnerships

Dubai: Season 5 of the biggest cricket league in the Gulf region, DP World International League T20, will commence on 22nd November 2026. The six-team, 34-match tournament, known as the second-most watched T20 league globally, will culminate with the grand finale on 20th December at the Dubai International Stadium.

According to Emirates News Agency, the league's shift to a December window in Season 4 marked a significant success, showcasing enhanced broadcast numbers and increased spectator attendance. The previous season concluded on 4th January 2026, with the Desert Vipers claiming their first title, triumphing over MI Emirates by 46 runs in a thrilling final.

CEO DP World ILT20 David White expressed satisfaction with the confirmed schedule for Season 5, highlighting the tournament's stature as the Gulf region's premier cricketing event. He emphasized the impact of strategic partnerships with the Saudi Arabia Cricket Federation and Kuwait Cricket, which are set to be strengthened through development tournaments in both countries ahead of the upcoming season.

White also noted the success of the Season 4 Player Auction and hinted at exciting announcements and initiatives to be unveiled in the near future. The league's previous season boasted a star-studded lineup, featuring renowned T20 players such as Sam Curran, Waqar Salamkheil, Muhammad Waseem, Andre Russell, and Kieron Pollard, among others.

DP World ILT20 continues to make significant strides, reinforcing its status as a major cricketing spectacle in the region. As anticipation builds for Season 5, fans can look forward to another thrilling showcase of cricketing talent and competitive spirit.
