Dubai International Chamber Establishes New Office in Karachi to Boost Trade with Pakistan

Dubai: Dubai International Chamber, one of the three chambers under Dubai Chambers, has inaugurated a new international representative office in Karachi. The move aims to bolster bilateral trade and investment between Dubai and Pakistan.

According to Emirates News Agency, the office's opening is part of the 'Dubai Global' initiative, which plans to establish 50 representative offices worldwide by 2030. This initiative is set to affirm Dubai's status as a global business hub by attracting foreign direct investment and aiding local companies in expanding internationally into 30 priority markets.

The office was inaugurated at a ceremony in Karachi, attended by Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi, Consul General of the UAE in Karachi, along with officials and members of the Pakistani business community.

Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, remarked that the new office signifies a strategic move to reinforce the economic partnership between Dubai and Pakistan. The aim is to expand bilateral cooperation, fostering mutual growth and enabling Pakistani companies to seize new opportunities in Dubai.

The inauguration coincides with significant growth in business relations between the regions. Dubai's non-oil trade with Pakistan reached AED22.8 billion in 2024. From early 2022 to the end of Q3 2025, the number of Pakistani companies registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce rose by 161%, totaling 33,110. In the first nine months of 2025 alone, 6,850 new Pakistani companies joined the chamber.

The new office will support businesses in both regions by working with the Pakistani business community to strengthen ties with key stakeholders and highlighting Dubai's advantages as a business destination.

Additionally, the office will offer market intelligence to help Pakistani companies establish a foothold in Dubai and use the emirate as a launchpad for international growth.

Furthermore, the office will assist Dubai-based companies looking to expand into Pakistan by providing insights into the local market, identifying opportunities, and connecting them with reliable local partners for smooth market entry and successful expansion.
