Dubai SME Unveils New Platform for Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Dubai: The Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Dubai SME), part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), has introduced Majlis Al Mustaqbal, an entrepreneurship initiative aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs and fostering the development of innovative ideas. This programme provides a structured setting where participants can collaborate, form teams, receive mentorship, and transform their concepts into investor-ready pitches.

According to Emirates News Agency, the inaugural edition of Majlis Al Mustaqbal is scheduled for 28-30 April 2026 at Dubai Founders HQ. The three-day event will bring together participants with industry experts, mentors, and government professionals for ideation, business model development, pitch training, and final presentations.

Majlis Al Mustaqbal, which translates to 'Gathering of the Future', combines practical learning with direct access to ecosystem stakeholders. This approach enables participants to validate their concepts, enhance their entrepreneurial mindset, and build the confidence necessary to advance their ideas beyond the programme.

Ahmad Al Room Almheiri, Acting CEO of Dubai SME, stated that Majlis Al Mustaqbal is designed to help young entrepreneurs move from inspiration to action. The programme equips them with tools, guidance, and exposure to transform ideas into viable ventures. By connecting participants with mentors, investors, and ecosystem partners, it aims to enable a new generation of founders to contribute actively to Dubai's innovation-driven economy. This aligns with the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, which seeks to empower local SMEs and position Dubai as a global hub for innovation.

During the event, participants will engage in a structured journey, including idea generation, team formation, business model development, investor pitch preparation, public speaking support, and dry runs. They will then present their concepts to a jury panel comprising ecosystem partners such as Dubai Municipality, du, WIO Bank, Aramex, Digital Dubai, Dubai Sports Council, Intelak Hub, and representatives from Dubai SME. The programme will conclude with the recognition of the top three winning teams.

The launch of Majlis Al Mustaqbal aligns with Dubai SME's mandate to strengthen entrepreneurship pathways and foster a culture of innovation among emerging founders. Hosted at Dubai Founders HQ and delivered in collaboration with ecosystem partners, the programme offers a practical platform connecting participants with mentors, investors, corporates, and government stakeholders.

Planned as a recurring initiative, Majlis Al Mustaqbal aims to create a sustained pipeline of early-stage ventures and talents. These efforts contribute to the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, which targets doubling the emirate's economy by 2033, by enhancing Dubai's innovation ecosystem and supporting the next generation of high-growth enterprises.
