During her meeting with Al-Dbaiba, Canadian Ambassador stressed her country’s support for Bathily’s efforts to hold elections.

The PM of the Government of National Unity, Abdul-Hamid Al-Dbaiba, received yesterday the Canadian Ambassador to Libya, Isabelle Savard, in the presence of the Minister of State for Prime Minister and Cabinet Affairs. Savard stressed her country's support for the efforts of UN Envoy Abdoulaye Bathily to reach the election in accordance with fair and impartial laws. The meeting discussed aspects of cooperation between both countries in a number of areas, including the education file and benefiting from Canada and its universities in accepting Libyan students and facilitating their procedures.
