EDGE and Strata Enhance Partnership with Airbus A330 Programme Contract Extension

Dubai: EDGE Group entity EPI, a leader in precision engineering within the UAE's aerospace, energy, and defense sectors, has announced a contract extension with Strata, a company wholly owned by Mubadala Investment Company. This agreement focuses on producing complex titanium parts for Strata's Airbus A330 programme.

According to Emirates News Agency, the contract was signed by Michael Deshaies, CEO of EPI, and Sara Al Memari, Acting CEO of Strata, during the ongoing Dubai Airshow 2025, held from 17 to 21 November at Dubai World Central. This extension includes all activities associated with manufacturing and treating complex titanium spare parts to support Strata's Aileron Single Source Assembly Line for the Airbus A330, extending until the end of 2030. The collaboration between EPI and Strata is part of the 'Make It in the Emirates' initiative, aimed at strengthening both the UAE and the global aerospace sector.

Michael Deshaies expressed that the partnership's extension highlights the trust placed in EPI to deliver titanium parts that meet the highest global aerospace standards. He emphasized the reinforcement of the UAE's position as a reliable contributor to the international aerospace supply chain, aligning with EDGE's and the nation's long-term vision for advancing sovereign manufacturing capabilities.

Sara Al Memari noted that the contract extension with EPI underscores the depth of their partnership and the UAE's commitment to enhancing its aerospace manufacturing prowess. She highlighted Strata's role in contributing world-class components and emphasized the innovation and excellence that characterize the UAE's industrial ambitions. Together with EPI, Strata is elevating the UAE's aerospace presence globally, showcasing Emirati talent and industry leadership.

The contract extension not only reinforces the robust collaboration between EPI and Strata but also demonstrates the success of their joint projects in supporting leading aircraft programmes of key global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM).
