Abu dhabi: EDGE Group and L3Harris Technologies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to further their collaboration in the UAE. This agreement aims to develop solutions that enhance the UAE’s defence capabilities and extend L3Harris’ presence in the Middle East and globally.
According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU provides a framework for joint research and development in artificial intelligence and autonomy, targeting national and regional defence opportunities. The collaboration focuses on deploying these advanced technologies in critical areas.
Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE Group, emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating it establishes a foundation for collaboration that aligns with EDGE’s product development goals. Christopher Kubasik, Chair and CEO of L3Harris, noted the strategic value of this partnership, highlighting the mutual benefits in accelerating the development of advanced solutions to address emerging threats.
L3Harris has been active in the UAE for over 35 years and has a corporate office in Abu Dhabi, reinforcing its commitment to the region.
