Abu Dhabi: Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) has been confirmed as the Sector Partner-Advanced Infrastructure by ADNEC Group at the fourth edition of Make it in the Emirates. The upcoming event will serve as a pivotal platform to highlight advancements in industry, foster collaboration, and showcase investment opportunities, further cementing Abu Dhabi's position as a global hub for industrial innovation, strategic partnerships, and investment.
According to Emirates News Agency, Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, emphasized the significance of hosting Make it in the Emirates as part of ADNEC Group's commitment to supporting national priorities. The ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi is designed to facilitate collaboration and growth, bringing together key stakeholders across sectors to advance the UAE's industrial agenda. The involvement of sector partners like EGA enriches the dialogue and underscores the importance of robust industrial foundations for a resilient and competitive economy.
Abdulnasser Bin Kalban, Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Global Aluminium, highlighted EGA's central role in the UAE aluminium sector, noting that their metal is the largest UAE export outside oil and gas. EGA is focused on localizing its supply chain, with significant investments in locally-sourced services and goods. The aluminium sector, including EGA, contributes around 1.3% to the UAE GDP and supports over 52,400 jobs nationwide, reinforcing the importance of making it in the Emirates.
Make it in the Emirates brings together senior executives, industry leaders, policymakers, manufacturers, investors, and innovators from the UAE and beyond. The fourth edition aims to shape the future of manufacturing and sustainable industrial growth. Hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and organized by ADNEC Group, the event is held in strategic partnership with several key ministries and organizations.
Scheduled for May 19 to 22, 2025, at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, the event will feature over 700 exhibitors and welcome 30,000 visitors across 68,000 square meters of exhibition space, covering 12 key industrial sectors. As the Sector Partner for Advanced Infrastructure, EGA plays a vital role in enhancing domestic manufacturing and promoting industrial self-sufficiency.
For nearly 50 years, EGA has been a pioneer in the UAE's industrial sector, positioning the nation as the world's fifth-largest aluminium producer. Its global operations, from bauxite mining to alumina refining, smelting, and recycling, align with Make it in the Emirates' focus on sustainability and innovation. The aluminium sector supports over 52,000 jobs, with significant contributions to industries such as construction, automotive, aerospace, electronics, and packaging, while also supplying metal to local manufacturers for both domestic and global markets.
