Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi expressed Egypt's complete rejection of the ongoing Israeli escalation against Iran, highlighting the threat it poses to the security and stability of the Middle East. This comes at a critical time when the region is experiencing multiple and escalating crises.
According to Emirates News Agency, President El-Sisi, during a phone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, emphasized the importance of an immediate ceasefire. He called for a resumption of negotiations to reach a sustainable, peaceful solution to the crisis.
President El-Sisi stressed the need to work towards de-escalating the situation and ensuring that the cycle of violence does not expand. He noted that military solutions are not viable for this crisis.
He further affirmed that the only way to achieve sustainable stability in the Middle East is through the implementation of the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in accordance with international legitimacy.
