Abu Dhabi: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has underscored the necessity for an immediate cessation of Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip, advocating for unhindered access to humanitarian aid.
According to Emirates News Agency, Abdelatty highlighted the importance of addressing the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza, emphasizing that it should be a top priority for the international community. The foreign minister conveyed these sentiments during a phone conversation with Steve Witkoff, the US President's Special Envoy to the Middle East.
Abdelatty further insisted that resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict requires a comprehensive political solution. He noted that such a resolution should fulfill the aspirations of the peoples in the region and correspond with US President Donald Trump's vision for lasting peace in the Middle East.
