Eid Al Adha to Commence on Friday, 6th June in UAE


Abu Dhabi: The Presidential Court has officially announced the sighting of the crescent moon, marking the beginning of Dhu al-Hijjah for the Hijri year 1446. This sighting confirms that Wednesday, 28th May 2025, will be the first day of Dhu al-Hijjah. Consequently, Friday, 6th June 2025, which corresponds to the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah, will be celebrated as the first day of Eid Al Adha.



According to Emirates News Agency, the Presidential Court expressed warm congratulations and best wishes to key leaders and figures in the UAE. These include President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai; Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates; and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. The statement extended greetings to the people of the UAE and the entire world, with prayers for blessings, prosperity, and joy during this festive occasion.
