Ellington Properties Contributes AED5 Million to ‘Edge of Life’ Campaign

Dubai: Ellington Properties announced a contribution of AED5 million in support of the Edge of Life campaign aimed at rescuing five million children from hunger. The initiative, launched during Ramadan by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, seeks to raise a minimum of AED1 billion to fund sustainable programs that combat childhood hunger globally.

According to Emirates News Agency, the campaign operates under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) and collaborates with UNICEF, Save the Children, the Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), and Action Against Hunger. It encourages both individuals and institutions to contribute to rescuing children from hunger, promoting values of compassion and solidarity.

Joseph Thomas, Co-Founder of Ellington Properties, expressed that supporting the Edge of Life campaign aligns with the UAE's values of solidarity and compassion. He emphasized that the initiative demonstrates how collective action can have a significant impact and expressed confidence that the campaign will protect millions of children from hunger and malnutrition.

Thomas further stated that their contribution reflects a commitment to the UAE's vision of a community built on giving and mutual progress. He highlighted that Ellington Properties views community building as beyond urban development, aiming to be part of initiatives that ensure children's right to healthy nutrition and a dignified life.

The Edge of Life campaign continues to welcome donations from various channels, including its website, a dedicated call center, and bank transfers. Contributions can also be made through SMS, the DubaiNow app, YallaGive.com, and Dubai's community platform Jood.
