Abu dhabi: Sheikha Hessa bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Deputy Director of the American Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended the reception held this evening by Luis Alfonso de Alba G³ngora, Ambassador of the United Mexican States to the UAE, to mark his country's National Day. The event took place at the Emirates Palace hotel in Abu Dhabi and saw participation from numerous UAE officials, heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to the UAE, and members of the Mexican community in the country.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Mexican Ambassador, in his speech, highlighted that the occasion not only commemorates Mexico's National Day but also marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mexico and the UAE. He emphasized the ongoing development of UAE-Mexican relations and mentioned the promising opportunities to enhance these ties, particularly in commercial and investment sectors, owing to the significant potential of both nations.
The Ambassador also mentioned the importance of reciprocal official visits at the highest levels, which have played a crucial role in strengthening bilateral relations. He noted that the UAE stands as Mexico's primary trading partner in the Arab world. The event featured performances of Mexican folkloric arts, adding a cultural touch to the celebration.
