According to Emirates News Agency, Mansour Al Mansouri emphasized the emirate's commitment to comprehensive care for women and children. This commitment is demonstrated through the strengthening of primary care capabilities, the expansion of prevention and early screening programs such as premarital genetic testing and newborn screening, and the continuous advancement of vaccination programs.
Significant progress is being made with the establishment of a specialized medical city dedicated to women's and children's healthcare. This initiative includes designating Sheikh Khalifa Medical City as a Centre of Excellence for pediatric care, developing the new Corniche hospital specializing in women's health and newborn care, and establishing a rehabilitation facility along with a mental health center for women and children.
As the global healthcare landscape rapidly transforms, particularly with the shift from reactive healthcare to proactive health and wellness-focused approaches, Abu Dhabi celebrates this year's World Health Day under the theme 'Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures'.
