Ajman: The Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS), in collaboration with the Ajman Equestrian Club and the Ajman Youth Council, has successfully concluded the final stage of the National Judges Qualification Programme for the 2025-2026 season. The programme took place from 11th to 13th June at the Ajman Youth Centre and Ajman Equestrian Club, featuring trainers accredited by the European Conference of Arab Horse Organizations (ECAHO).
According to Emirates News Agency, this initiative is part of the Society's ongoing efforts to foster and develop national talent in the field of Arabian horse championship judging. The programme aims to prepare qualified Emirati judges to participate in local and international competitions, ensuring adherence to the highest professional standards.
The programme commenced on 11th June with a workshop on judging, attended by individuals interested in Arabian horse show judging. The workshop provided insights into the theoretical and practical aspects of judging criteria and professional evaluation methods, enhancing participants' abilities and equipping them with internationally recognised judging principles.
On 12th and 13th June, the Ajman Youth Centre hosted a workshop and training course for national judges. Several national judges participated in this specialised training, which focused on strengthening their technical skills and updating their knowledge of judging practices. This ensures the consistent and accurate application of judging standards in Arabian horse championships.
The programme's objectives include qualifying national judges, enhancing their professional classification, and preparing them for officiating at local and international championships. Additionally, it readies participants for the international accreditation examination administered by ECAHO, thereby supporting the presence of Emirati expertise within the global Arabian horse judging community.
Practical training involved participation in several accredited championships throughout the season. These included the Emirates National Arabian Horse Championship, the Emirates Arabian Horse Breeders Championship, the Ajman Arabian Horse Championship 2026, and the Ramadan Arabian Horse Championship in Abu Dhabi. These events provided participants with valuable field experience in various judging environments.
The programme played a significant role in assessing the technical performance of judges, enhancing their readiness for the international accreditation examination, and reinforcing the role of national talent within the Arabian horse championship judging system. It supports the development of qualified Emirati judges in line with the highest professional standards.
