Abu dhabi: The Emirates Council for Balanced Development is participating in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) with a pavilion that showcases a range of development programmes and projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life in Emirati villages and promoting balanced development in rural areas.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Council's pavilion offers an insight into various economic, social, cultural, and tourism initiatives. These include rural development projects, support for small and medium-sized enterprises in villages, and efforts to empower local industries and rural products. The initiatives also emphasize sustainability and the use of local resources.

The Emirates Council for Balanced Development is focused on transforming rural areas into sustainable economic and tourism destinations by developing integrated facilities that provide new economic opportunities for residents. This participation underscores the Council's dedication to supporting the UAE's sustainable development goals by improving community services and empowering rural families across all emirates.

Abdulla Al Kaabi, Head of Media and Government Communications at the Council, highlighted that the pavilion showcases the 'Emirates Villages' initiative and its support for productive families. It also features agricultural and cultural products that reflect the diversity of local heritage.

The pavilion offers an interactive experience with smart display platforms and interactive screens illustrating live models of existing projects and future development plans. It also includes a balanced development map, successful examples of emerging producers and productive families, and projects with sustainable economic and social impact.
