European stocks close higher

European stock indices closed higher on Wednesday, influenced by the rise of most sectors, led by mining stocks, which rose by 2.3 percent. The European Stoxx 600 index rose by 0.8 percent at the close, after negative performance throughout last week. The French CAC 40 index also rose by 0.4 percent, while the British FTSE 100 index increased by 0.4 percent at the close. Source: Qatar News Agency
