Abu Dhabi: The Federal Youth Authority (FYA) and Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) have signed a cooperation agreement to bolster joint efforts in creating development opportunities specifically for young UAE nationals. This significant partnership aims to foster a supportive ecosystem that will unlock growth opportunities for the youth, in alignment with the National Youth Agenda 2031.
According to Emirates News Agency, the agreement was signed in the presence of Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, by Khaled Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director of the Federal Youth Authority, and Abdulnasser Bin Kalban, Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Global Aluminium, at EGA's headquarters in Al Taweelah, Abu Dhabi.
Under the terms of the agreement, both entities will collaborate to develop initiatives that empower the youth with necessary skills and opportunities, which are integral to the national vision of shaping the future. Khaled Al Nuaimi emphasized the importance of this partnership in fostering a culture of excellence, creativity, and collaboration among the young generation, enabling them to contribute to the UAE's economic and social development.
Abdulnasser Bin Kalban highlighted EGA's commitment to empowering young people as a key component of driving positive change and supporting comprehensive development. He noted that the agreement with the Federal Youth Authority aligns with EGA's longstanding efforts to create opportunities for the next generation of leaders, in accordance with the vision of UAE's leadership.
EGA has been proactive in empowering youth through its Youth Council, established in 2018, and various outreach programmes like 'Engineer the Future' and EGA's Ambassador Programme. These initiatives have collectively engaged over 35,000 students since their inception, encouraging them to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The company's team includes more than 700 employees under the age of 35, showcasing its commitment to integrating young talents into its workforce.
