Abu dhabi: A fire broke out on a regasification vessel and a storage vessel at the country's Mediterranean Damietta Port, as reported by Egypt's Ministry of Petroleum. The incident resulted in no injuries or fatalities, the ministry confirmed.
According to Emirates News Agency, the ministry stated that emergency and rapid response plans were activated immediately after the fire was reported. On-site firefighting and security teams collaborated with relevant authorities to contain the incident effectively.
In a statement, the ministry mentioned that Petroleum Minister Karim Badawi arrived at the scene to supervise the emergency response. He monitored firefighting and security operations, ensuring all safety procedures were implemented in coordination with the relevant authorities.
