First Emirati Appointed Professor at New York University

Dubai: Ambassador Professor Abdulsalam Al Madani has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Emirati to be appointed as a professor at New York University in the United States. This appointment is in recognition of his significant academic, scientific, and professional contributions. According to Emirates News Agency, Dr. Al Madani, who holds the position of the Roving Ambassador for the GCC Region at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), was announced as the new appointee during the 23rd Annual Global Scientific Dental Alliance (GSDA) Meeting. The announcement took place on the second day of the Emirates International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC Dubai 2026), which is recognized as the world's largest annual dental event. This event is being held from January 19-21 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), with the presence of senior figures from both the UAE and the United States. Al Madani expressed his pride in receiving this recognition, noting that it highlights international appreciation for efforts dedicated to developing the medical sector and promoting lifelong learning.
