Flydubai Resumes Flights to Aleppo After 14-Year Hiatus

Dubai: Flydubai has announced today the resumption and expansion of its network operations into Syria with the launch of a new daily non-stop service to Aleppo International Airport (ALP).

According to Emirates News Agency, the service is scheduled to commence on 20th July 2026, marking Aleppo as flydubai's second destination in Syria, alongside the capital city, Damascus. This move underscores the airline's commitment to opening up previously underserved markets.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, expressed satisfaction with the resumption of operations to Aleppo after nearly 14 years. He highlighted that the introduction of the daily service to Aleppo is a significant milestone in flydubai's network expansion strategy. Al Ghaith emphasized the airline's mission to support Dubai's aviation hub by establishing direct air links to underserved markets. With reliable, daily operations to Aleppo, flydubai aims to meet the strong existing demand for direct travel while fostering closer economic, cultural, and familial ties between the UAE and Syria.

Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai, noted the strong demand for travel on the Damascus route since flights resumed last summer. The non-stop service to Aleppo is expected to build on this momentum, offering customers greater choice and convenient travel options between Dubai and Syria. The launch of the new daily service is timely to support increased travel demand during the peak summer period, and flydubai is eager to welcome passengers on board soon.
