GUANGZHOU: A sea vessel collided on Monday with a guard pier under the Jiujiang Bridge on the G240 National Highway in South China's Guangdong Province, failed to beach at Danganzhou Tailwater and sank. According to Global Times, the vessel had a total of 11 crew members. Seven have been successfully rescued while four remain unaccounted for. Media reports indicate that efforts to locate the missing crew members are currently underway. After preliminary investigation, the accident was determined to be caused by operating error resulting from flood. The specific cause of the accident remains under investigation.
