Fourth Edition of World Police Summit Awards 2025 Continues to Accept Nominations

Dubai: The World Police Summit Awards is currently open for nominations for its fourth edition, expanding its recognition categories with the introduction of two new awards: Best Use of Artificial Intelligence in Policing and the Innovation Award for Startups. With these additions, the total number of award categories has grown to 12, aiming to recognize outstanding contributions in various policing and security fields.

According to Emirates News Agency, the awards are designed to celebrate achievements across diverse categories, including Excellence in Criminal Investigation, Excellence in Anti-Narcotics, People of Determination Excellence, Best Police Application, and Best Innovative Idea in Security and Law Enforcement, among others. The awards also emphasize the role of technology in policing, particularly in international cooperation and addressing transnational crime.

The awards ceremony will be a key highlight of the World Police Summit, scheduled to be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 13th to 15th May, 2025. This annual summit acts as a global platform for law enforcement personnel, experts, academics, and government representatives to discuss pressing challenges in modern policing, such as advancements in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.

Supported by major international agencies, the summit promotes innovation and knowledge exchange, aiming to unify efforts of law enforcement agencies worldwide. It provides a forum for high-level discussions and fosters global collaboration through workshops, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.

The awards aim to honor the accomplishments of individuals and organizations in law enforcement globally, highlighting those who provide intelligent solutions to enhance future policing. The nomination process is open to law enforcement personnel worldwide, with applications accepted until 31st March, 2025. The award jury, composed of leading global academics, will evaluate nominees through multiple stages before selecting a winner in each category.

In the previous edition, winners included law enforcement agencies and individuals from countries such as Brazil, Italy, Spain, Canada, India, Qatar, Pakistan, and the UAE. Captain Marwan Abdullah Al Mulla, Head of the Strategic Thought Section and the Head of the World Police Summit Awards, emphasized the significance of the awards in recognizing the achievements of law enforcement professionals and the introduction of the new categories to acknowledge advancements in artificial intelligence and innovation in startups.
