Paris: France has expressed its concern regarding the recent strikes conducted by the United States on three sites associated with Iran's nuclear program. The French government has confirmed that it had no involvement in these operations or their planning.
According to Emirates News Agency, Jean-No«l Barrot, the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, released a statement emphasizing France's commitment to preventing any escalation in the region. Barrot urged all parties to exercise restraint to avoid further conflict and highlighted the importance of safeguarding French nationals and interests in the area. He reiterated France's consistent opposition to Iran acquiring nuclear weapons and stressed the need for a negotiated resolution within the framework of the Treaty of Non-Proliferation.
Furthermore, Barrot acknowledged a statement from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which indicated that no high levels of radiation have been detected following the strikes. France remains committed to collaborating with its partners to find a lasting solution to the nuclear issue through diplomatic means.
