Fujairah Crown Prince Engages with Minister on Climate Change Initiatives


Fujairah: H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, received Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, at his office at the Amiri Diwan. During the meeting, the Crown Prince emphasized the significance of national efforts in environmental protection and climate change. He underscored the role of government institutions in enhancing sustainable environmental policies and safeguarding natural resources, aligning with the UAE’s vision and strategies for this sector.



According to Emirates News Agency, the Crown Prince highlighted H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi’s commitment to monitoring environmental initiatives across Fujairah and supporting programs that contribute to achieving the country’s strategic objectives in this area. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi was informed about the Council for Climate Change and Environment’s upcoming programme in Wadi Wurayah, Fujairah.



The meeting also explored potential cooperation and future initiatives to enhance environmental sustainability and support national projects related to climate, water, and nature in Fujairah. Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak expressed her appreciation to the Crown Prince for his dedication to the environmental sector and his support for national initiatives. She affirmed the ministry’s commitment to further developing environmental programs in line with the UAE’s strategic goals.



The meeting was attended by notable figures including Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of H.H. Crown Prince of Fujairah; Mohammed Saeed Al Nuaimi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment; Asilah Abdullah Al Mualla, Director-General of the Fujairah Environment Authority; and several ministry officials.
