Fujairah Free Zone Explores Economic Opportunities with China

Fujairah: The Fujairah Free Zone Authority has engaged in discussions with China to explore opportunities for joint cooperation in the economic and investment sectors. The talks were part of a visit by Ou Boqian, Consul-General of the People's Republic of China in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.

According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting involved Sharief Habib Al Awadhi, Director-General of the Fujairah Free Zone Authority, and the Chinese Consul-General. They reviewed the investment advantages offered by the Emirate of Fujairah, which include advanced infrastructure, services, and competitive incentives for investors and international companies. These factors position Fujairah as a strategic business hub in the region.

Al Awadhi highlighted the importance of this visit in reflecting the depth of historical and economic ties between the United Arab Emirates and China. He emphasized the shared desire to enhance economic cooperation to support mutual interests and sustainable development. He also noted that the Fujairah Free Zone values its partnership with the Chinese business community, with Fujairah's strategic location on the Indian Ocean and integrated logistics infrastructure making it an ideal platform for Chinese companies seeking to expand their operations in the Middle East and African markets.
