Gold Prices Steady Near Weekly Low Amid Market Fluctuations

Dubai: Gold prices held steady near their lowest levels in a week on Friday. Spot gold was trading at around $4,318.88 per ounce by 00:20 GMT, after earlier hitting its lowest point since September 2nd.

According to Emirates News Agency, prices had fallen by about 2% on Thursday, while U.S. gold futures for December delivery declined 1.1% to $4,359.50. The fluctuation in gold prices comes amidst a broader trend of instability in global markets, influencing investor sentiment and trading behaviors.

Among other precious metals, spot silver saw a slight decrease of 0.1% to $63.48, while platinum remained steady at $1,777.42. Palladium experienced a minor dip, falling 0.2% to $1,279.25. These movements highlight the ongoing volatility in precious metal markets, reflecting broader economic uncertainties and impacting commodity prices worldwide.
