Fujairah: H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, affirmed that the partnership between the UAE Government and the Government of Fujairah in implementing the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme and the Global Star Rating System for services represents a qualitative leap in the path of governmental modernisation and reflects the directives of the wise leadership to develop a more efficient, flexible, and proactive government service system that ensures the enhancement of the quality of life for society.
According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the vision of the Government of Fujairah, under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, stressing the importance of simplifying and facilitating procedures, with a focus on people-centric development through innovative programmes. This partnership aims to integrate efforts, align with societal aspirations, and support the state's competitiveness and leadership.
This announcement was made during the launch event of the partnership between the UAE Government and the Government of Fujairah. Under this collaboration, the Government of Fujairah will adopt the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme and the Global Star Rating System for Government Services. This initiative seeks to enhance federal and local government integration and promote exemplary government models at the local level, reflecting the UAE leadership's vision to anticipate future needs and elevate government work models to meet international standards.
The launch ceremony was attended by Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, where an agreement was signed to activate the partnership between the UAE Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Government of Fujairah. The agreement was signed by Sheikh Eng. Mohammed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Director-General of Fujairah Digital Government, and Mohammed bin Taliah, Chief of Government Services of the United Arab Emirates Government.
Mohammed Al Gergawi stated that the adoption of these programmes by the Government of Fujairah is a significant addition to the UAE Government's efforts to continuously reimagine the service system and enhance governmental performance. He emphasized the partnership's role in accelerating the shift toward a more efficient, flexible, high-performing, and productive government model.
The UAE Government introduced the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme in November 2023 to improve efficiency, quality, and flexibility in government processes. The Global Star Rating System for Services, initially launched in 2011 and upgraded in 2019, aims to redefine the concept of government service delivery with new standards.
