According to Emirates News Agency, the UN chief emphasized that the priority must be to ‘ease the tremendous suffering’ caused by the conflict since the attacks on 7 October. He reiterated his call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, unfettered humanitarian access across Gaza, and the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages. Guterres expressed hope that these actions would create conditions conducive to realizing a two-State solution.
