Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, convened with Chief AI Officers from various government entities. The meeting occurred alongside the UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025, taking place from 4 to 6 November in Abu Dhabi, with the involvement of 500 senior government officials.
According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized Dubai's commitment to setting a global standard in artificial intelligence application to enhance government performance and improve the quality of life across all sectors. The approach involves empowering national talent and leveraging technology to shape the future.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan stated that the directives from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum have positioned artificial intelligence as a fundamental component of governmental progress. He mentioned that the subsequent phase will involve a rapid adoption of advanced technologies to foster innovative solutions, thereby enhancing Dubai's global competitiveness and leadership in artificial intelligence.
The assembly, which included more than 20 Chief AI Officers, along with H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Omar Sultan Al Olama, focused on the UAE's initiatives to expedite the adoption of emerging technologies. The goal is to fully prepare Dubai for a digital transformation.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan expressed confidence in the UAE's national talent and their ability to lead the country's journey towards a more advanced future. He emphasized the role of the youth in the nation's success and their expected contribution to developing AI-based solutions that enhance government efficiency and quality of life.
The meeting also discussed aligning national efforts, strengthening partnerships, and sharing best practices in AI. The aim is to build a better future and establish the UAE and Dubai as global leaders in leveraging technology for innovation, quality of life, and economic growth.

The role of Chief AI Officer was introduced in federal ministries and government entities to promote AI solutions in government operations. Selected for their expertise in emerging technologies, these officers support initiatives like the AI Chiefs' knowledge journey to the US and the AI Leadership Training, which align with the 'We the UAE 2031' vision and the AI Strategy 2031 objectives to position the nation as a global leader in AI and digital technologies.
