Hamdan bin Mohammed Highlights UAE’s Pioneering Education Model During KHDA Visit

Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, emphasized the UAE's education system as a pioneering model marked by excellence, resilience, and global leadership. This assertion was made during his visit to the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), where he evaluated the safe resumption of in-person learning within Dubai's private education sector.

According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Hamdan was accompanied by Abdulla Al Basti, Secretary General of The Executive Council of Dubai. He noted that more than 150,000 students have returned to over 450 educational institutions, all operating at a high level of readiness with comprehensive health and safety measures in place. Sheikh Hamdan reiterated the UAE's belief in people as the foundation of development and the driving force behind the nation's progress.

Sheikh Hamdan commended the efforts of the KHDA teams and the wider education community, acknowledging the role of parents and educators in maintaining high-quality learning environments. He was briefed by Aisha Abdulla Miran, Director General of KHDA, on the second year of Dubai's Education 33 (E33) Strategy, which focuses on building a future-ready, learner-centred education system.

During the visit, Sheikh Hamdan met with members of the Dubai Students Council, discussing initiatives that amplify student voice and enhance their educational experience. He reviewed 20 initiatives under the E33 Strategy, including efforts to redesign the learner journey, strengthen Arabic language and Emirati culture, and enhance parental engagement.

The E33 Strategy emphasizes lifelong learning, aiming to develop confident learners who are proud of their identity and equipped to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Sheikh Hamdan highlighted initiatives such as 'All Rise and Teach in Dubai' to attract quality educators and 'Future Astrolabe' to guide students in career choices.
