Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, has engaged with a delegation from Etihad Rail to review the latest developments in freight and passenger rail projects, underscoring the significance of the Etihad Rail project as a foundational element of the national transport system and a strategic initiative for sustainable infrastructure.
According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan examined the company's achievements, which include the transportation of over 10 million tonnes of stone and gravel, as well as 148,000 containers. These accomplishments highlight Etihad Rail's active role in facilitating trade across the UAE.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan commended the competitive status that Etihad Rail has secured within the national transport sector. He emphasized the company's contribution to comprehensive development across the UAE, driven by a railway network that adheres to the highest global standards.
