Al dhafra: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, has inaugurated the Ghayathi Sports and Community Center in Al Dhafra Region, emphasizing the leadership's commitment to fostering healthy lifestyles and enhancing the quality of life.
According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan highlighted that these initiatives align with the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to make sports a key component of comprehensive and sustainable development. This vision supports the aspirations of the UAE Year of the Community, which focuses on strengthening social cohesion and promoting sustainable community engagement.
During the inauguration, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan toured the facilities and services of the Ghayathi Sports and Community Center, which are designed to boost sports and community activities in the region. The project is in line with the Abu Dhabi Government and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council's vision to promote healthy living and improve the overall quality of life in the Al Dhafra Region.
Sheikh Hamdan was accompanied by Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Ruler's Representative Court in Al Dhafra Region, and several officials. He was received by Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, along with senior council officials.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan urged all community members to integrate sports into their daily routines, highlighting its benefits for physical and mental health and its role in creating an active and productive society. He emphasized that sports are crucial for achieving balance and quality of life and contribute to fostering cooperation, belonging, and social unity.

The Ghayathi Sports and Community Center is an integrated facility aimed at empowering community members to lead an active and healthy lifestyle. It includes state-of-the-art sports facilities for men and women, multipurpose spaces for sports and recreational activities, and a sports hall accommodating football, basketball, volleyball, and handball. The center also features world-class swimming pools, fitness halls, aerobics rooms, a children's nursery, administrative offices, and retail outlets, creating a comprehensive environment for community engagement and wellbeing.
