Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, welcomed a delegation from the Ministry of Defence at Al Saif Palace. The delegation, represented by the Presidential Guard Command and the organising committee of the Union Fortress 11 military show, discussed the upcoming event scheduled to be held in Liwa City, Al Dhafra Region, in conjunction with the Liwa International Festival 2027, slated for launch next December.
According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan was updated on the general programme and preparations developed by the organising committee for the show, which is hosted by the Al Dhafra Region and organised by the Ministry of Defence. He received a detailed presentation from the Commander of the Presidential Guard and committee members regarding the show's segments, the roles of participating entities, and the integrated work plans and preparations for this significant national event.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that the Union Fortress event serves as a key national platform showcasing the professionalism of the UAE Armed Forces. It aims to enhance community awareness of their crucial role in protecting national achievements and reinforce the values of loyalty and belonging, aligned with the UAE's leadership vision for an advanced defence system capable of addressing various challenges.
He highlighted that the successes of the UAE Armed Forces are attributed to the dedicated focus and ongoing oversight of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. The President's continuous efforts to develop capabilities and enhance personnel efficiency align with the highest international standards.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed enthusiasm for hosting the military show in the Al Dhafra Region, noting that it underscores the high combat capabilities of the UAE Armed Forces.
