Abu dhabi: Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoon Al Muhairi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police and Head of the Abu Dhabi Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management team (ADCMC), recently visited individuals affected by Iranian attacks to reaffirm the Emirate's commitment to on-the-ground monitoring of the health response.
According to Emirates News Agency, Al Muhairi assessed the effectiveness of treatment plans and ensured the provision of the highest standards of integrated care. He was joined by Matar Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director-General of the ADCMC; Dr. Rashed Obaid Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC); Dr. Marwan Al Kaabi, CEO at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), and several government officials.
During the visit, the delegation interacted with injured patients and their families, gathering feedback on the medical services provided. They reiterated that community safety remains the central objective of Abu Dhabi's crisis management strategy, regardless of regional developments.
Al Muhairi highlighted the importance of mobilizing all logistical and medical resources to accelerate recovery efforts. He acknowledged the high morale of those affected and wished them a swift recovery. He praised the efficiency of the medical response, attributing it to Abu Dhabi's robust infrastructure and proactive planning.
He expressed confidence in the rehabilitation pathways and advanced standards offered by SSMC, which support a comprehensive recovery process. Al Muhairi also commended the professionalism of the medical and administrative staff, emphasizing their role in safeguarding society and their empowerment as core elements of the emergency, crisis, and disaster management system.
The delegation stressed the importance of effective coordination across sectors to ensure a flexible and efficient response. They noted that the ADCMC continues to monitor recovery indicators and provide support to those affected until they achieve full recovery.
