HFZA and SAIF Zone Collaborate with ADNOC to Educate Companies on Supplier Registration

Sharjah: The Sharjah Airport International Free Zone Authority (SAIF Zone) and Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) teamed up with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to host a specialised workshop aimed at educating companies on ADNOC's supplier registration process. This initiative sought to guide businesses in both free zones on how to navigate ADNOC's commercial licensing and regulatory procedures, particularly to enter the energy sector supply chain.

According to Emirates News Agency, the workshop was conducted at the SAIF Zone and featured notable attendees such as Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of both free zones, and Mubarak Al Mehairbi, Senior Vice-President at ADNOC. The event also attracted department heads, employees, investors, and company representatives from the energy sector, all eager to learn about ADNOC's end-to-end supplier registration process. The session covered essential aspects like licensing requirements, compliance standards, and evaluation benchmarks, and it underscored ADNOC's commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. This aligns with the Make it in the Emirates initiative, which supports national companies.

Al Mazrouei emphasized that the collaboration between Sharjah's free zones and ADNOC contributes significantly to the national economy by supporting strategic sectors. He highlighted that the workshop is in line with the zones' vision of attracting investments in the energy sector through excellent infrastructure, services, and market access. He expressed gratitude to ADNOC for their support in the initiative, which provided investors with opportunities to integrate into the energy supply chain and contribute to national development.

Mubarak Al Mehairbi reiterated ADNOC's dedication to forging strategic partnerships and fostering growth opportunities for businesses. He pointed out that ADNOC values transparency and quality in its supplier relationships and commended the free zones for facilitating a successful workshop. The session witnessed robust participation, with attendees gaining comprehensive insights into registration and qualification procedures. Discussions also highlighted the significance of ESG standards in ADNOC's supplier criteria, aligning with the UAE's sustainable development goals.
