Dubai: The Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) is set to host the fourth edition of the 'Dubai Photo Forum' on the 13th and 14th of November. The event will feature six sessions led by esteemed photographers from countries including the UAE, Kuwait, Egypt, Palestine, Ethiopia, and the United States. This forum follows closely on the heels of the 14th Season Awards Ceremony, scheduled for 11th November at the Museum of the Future, where winners under the theme 'Power' will be honored in front of an international audience. HIPA has reported a significant increase in pre-registration, driven by interest via its website and social media channels.
According to Emirates News Agency, Ali Bin Thalith, the Secretary-General of HIPA, pointed out the heightened public interest as an indication of the lasting impact of previous forums. The past editions have successfully hosted 14 events tackling critical issues faced by photographers. Bin Thalith reiterated HIPA's dedication to bolstering the global photography community by offering knowledge and skill-building opportunities. He expressed confidence that the upcoming Forum will serve as a source of inspiration and innovation for all participants.
