Ajman: The 'Humaid Air Bridge' campaign, initiated as part of the UAE's 'Operation Chivalrous Knight 3' under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has successfully concluded, delivering more than 600 tonnes of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. This effort underscores the UAE's steadfast commitment to humanitarian assistance.
According to Emirates News Agency, over a span of two months, the campaign facilitated the transport of more than 600 tonnes of food and humanitarian aid to the Egyptian city of Al Arish. This was done in preparation for the aid's entry into Gaza, in coordination with relevant authorities, to support families in need and bolster food security amid challenging humanitarian conditions.
The aid comprised approximately 30,000 food parcels, prepared to meet the highest humanitarian standards to address the basic needs of Palestinian families. An estimated 150,000 individuals are expected to benefit from this assistance, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure that aid reaches the maximum number of beneficiaries.
The execution of the 'Humaid Air Bridge' involved several UAE-based charitable and humanitarian organizations, including the Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Charitable Foundation, the International Charity Organisation, the Emirates Red Crescent - Ajman Branch, Al Ihsan Charity Association, and Al Etihad Charity Foundation. These organizations collaborated to prepare and distribute food and relief assistance, showcasing a spirit of solidarity and humanitarian cooperation with the Palestinian people.
This campaign is part of a broader series of humanitarian initiatives implemented by the UAE under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, directed by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The operation encompasses air and sea bridges, 'Birds of Goodness' airdrop missions, support for field and floating hospitals, and numerous humanitarian projects aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people.
