IACAD Unveils April Mosque Lessons to Enhance Religious Understanding

Dubai: The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai has announced the launch of the Mosque Lessons series for April 2026, aiming to promote religious awareness and strengthen faith-based values. This initiative aligns with national objectives to enhance family cohesion and improve quality of life within the community. According to Emirates News Agency, the series is a comprehensive educational programme that addresses Sharia and jurisprudential topics, tailored to meet the needs of the community while considering contemporary developments. The programme kicks off on 1st April with 'Rulings on Qunoot in Times of Calamity,' and will continue with topics like 'Belief in Divine Decree, Its Good and Its Evil' on 6th April, 'Rulings on Purification for the Sick' on 8th April, and others throughout the month. In the latter part of April, the series will delve into 'Rulings Related to the Conditions of Prayer' on 20th April, and conclude with a three-part series on 'The Description of P rayer' scheduled for 22nd, 27th, and 29th April. The initiative aims to bolster individual awareness and support psychological and family stability by promoting moderation and correcting misconceptions. The department emphasized that this initiative reflects its commitment to empower society both intellectually and religiously, fostering a cohesive community capable of addressing challenges while keeping pace with the growth of Dubai. By placing the family at the core of society, the initiative reinforces values and encourages dialogue that contributes to social stability. Mosque Lessons remain a vital ongoing initiative for IACAD, reinforcing the role of mosques as centers of cultural and educational awareness, and promoting knowledge, national identity, and societal values.
