India and China Agree to Resume Direct Flights and Enhance Trade

New delhi: India and China have reached an agreement to resume direct flights and bolster trade and investment flows between the two nations. The announcement was made following Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's two-day visit to New Delhi, where he engaged in discussions with India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval during the 24th round of talks.

According to Emirates Press Agency, the direct flights between India and China have been on hold since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The resumption of these flights is expected to facilitate greater connectivity and strengthen economic ties between the two countries. The agreement highlights a significant step towards restoring normalcy in bilateral relations, which had been impacted by the global health crisis.

The talks also focused on enhancing trade and investment flows, signaling a mutual commitment to deepening economic cooperation. This development is seen as a positive move towards fostering a more robust partnership between India and China, two of the world's largest economies.
