NABLUS: The occupation forces, backed by bulldozers and military vehicles, stormed late at night on Tuesday the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, raiding several houses and destroying streets, according to local sources. A large military force, which consisted of around 30 military vehicles, blockaded the camp before storming it amid airstrikes and overflights by planes and drones, leading to violent confrontations between the camp's residents and the occupation forces. The confrontations reportedly began at the camp's southern entrance and later spread to several neighborhoods. Israeli soldiers fired live ammunition, stun grenades and tear gas bombs heavily during its offensive. However, no injuries were reported. Explosions were also heard in the camp during the offensive. Two houses belonging to two families in the said camp were also raided during the military incursion. Israeli soldiers stationed at the military checkpoint on Mount Gerizim in Nablus reportedly opened fire indiscriminately during the military offensive.
