According to Emirates News Agency, the UN chief's spokesperson stated that this decision marks a dangerous escalation and risks deepening the already catastrophic consequences for millions of Palestinians. The move could further endanger more lives, including those of the remaining hostages. The spokesperson further elaborated that the decision will result in additional forced displacement, killings, and massive destruction. This would compound the unimaginable suffering of the Palestinian population in Gaza.
