Sharjah: During her annual visit to the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, was briefed on the Foundation's most prominent achievements for 2025, as well as updates on institutional work and its future plans for the next phase.
According to Emirates News Agency, this visit is part of ongoing efforts to empower orphaned children and their families, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of services provided to them. Sheikha Jameela expressed her appreciation for the achievements and initiatives she witnessed, stating that the institution's accomplishments reflect a high level of institutional work based on a clear vision aimed at impacting the lives of its beneficiaries.
She praised the development of programmes and initiatives, highlighting the importance of innovation and sustainability in enhancing the organisation's status as a leading model in humanitarian work, contributing to building a more stable and empowering future.
Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, mentioned that the Foundation's achievements are driven by a vision and strategy aligned with Sharjah government directives, focusing on empowering people and enhancing their quality of life. This serves as motivation to adhere to high institutional standards.
Al Suwaidi outlined that the next phase will involve implementing development initiatives to support resource diversification, enhance programme efficiency, and expand quality initiatives to maximise the impact on 1,201 families and 2,702 orphans. She highlighted the 'Neighbours of the Prophet' endowment and achievements in various empowerment sectors as outcomes of integrated institutional work.
She detailed future plans, including a five-year strategic plan, the ABC programme to prioritise support, and the activation of a corporate governance system, all aimed at enhancing performance quality and service levels. The next phase will also see the creation of new organisational departments and improvements in institutional work systems to meet future aspirations.
Al Suwaidi reiterated the Foundation's commitment to developing operational mechanisms aligned with best practices, ensuring sustainable impact and strengthening its role in empowering orphans, in line with Sharjah's vision of building a cohesive society.
