Jordanian Foreign Minister Discusses Dangerous Escalation in Middle East with Chinese, Russian counterparts

Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Al Safadi discussed, in two phone calls Tuesday, with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, regional and international moves to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, as a first step to stop the dangerous escalation witnessed by the region. The necessity of reaching an immediate and permanent ceasefire and ending the catastrophe caused by the aggression on Gaza was emphasized. The two calls also discussed the aggression on Lebanon and the steps required to protect the region from slipping into the abyss of a comprehensive regional war, in addition to a number of regional and international issues.
