Abu dhabi: Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi: KEZAD Group and Jotun Abu Dhabi have entered into a 50-year land lease agreement to develop a new manufacturing facility in ICAD - KEZAD Musaffah. Jotun Abu Dhabi, a subsidiary of Jotun, plans to invest AED450 million in constructing the 83,177 square metre facility. This significant investment is part of Jotun Abu Dhabi's major expansion strategy, which includes relocating from their current 22,000 square metre site and creating approximately 200 jobs in KEZAD.
According to Emirates News Agency, Abdullah Al Hameli, CEO of Economic Cities and Free Zones at AD Ports Group, expressed satisfaction with Jotun Abu Dhabi's expansion in the rapidly evolving industrial landscape of KEZAD. He highlighted KEZAD Group's commitment to providing world-class infrastructure that supports the regional construction industry's advancement. Al Hameli reiterated the group's dedication to bolstering the UAE's construction sector in Abu Dhabi, guided by the vision of the nation's leadership and its role as a global manufacturing hub.
Svein Johan Stub, General Manager of Jotun Abu Dhabi, noted that the expansion represents a significant milestone in Jotun Paints' manufacturing journey in Abu Dhabi. He emphasized Jotun's commitment to strengthening its presence in the emirate and expressed confidence that being part of KEZAD's industrial ecosystem will enable the company to deliver market-tailored solutions and support growth in the region's construction, real estate, and energy industries.
