Khaldoon Al Mubarak Engages in Strategic Talks with South Korean President


Seoul: Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, engaged in significant diplomatic discussions with Lee Jae-myung, President of the Republic of Korea, during an official visit to Seoul. This meeting was part of efforts to enhance bilateral relations and followed the recent state visit of President Lee to the UAE in November 2025.



According to Emirates News Agency, the discussions between Al Mubarak and President Lee focused on building upon previous engagements, particularly the outcomes of President Lee’s state visit to the UAE. The talks emphasized a commitment to advancing the ‘Special Strategic Partnership’ between the two nations. Key areas of focus included artificial intelligence, advanced technologies, nuclear energy, defence, culture, and people-to-people exchange.



During the visit, Al Mubarak also met with several senior Korean officials. These included Koo Yun-cheol, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance; Cho Hyun, Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Kang Hoon-sik, Chief of Staff to the President and Special Envoy for Strategic Economic Cooperation. Al Mubarak was joined by Abdulla Saif AlNuaimi, UAE Ambassador to Seoul, and a high-level delegation from the UAE.
