Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Attends 2025 MBZUAI Commencement Ceremony

Abu Dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, attended the 2025 commencement ceremony of Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI).

According to Emirates News Agency, the graduating class comprised 104 students, marking MBZUAI's largest cohort to date, with 13 PhD and 91 master's degree graduates in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing. His Highness congratulated the graduates and honoured several recipients, urging them to apply their knowledge to advance the nation's development and contribute to a technology-driven economy.

His Highness highlighted the UAE leadership's commitment to knowledge and technological advancement, emphasizing the UAE's role as a global hub for AI research and development. The ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, and other key officials from various sectors.

The 2025 cohort includes 20 Emirati graduates, the highest number since the university's inception, showcasing MBZUAI's focus on nurturing local talent. Graduates from this cohort represent 24 countries, with first-time graduates from Armenia, Bangladesh, Comoros, Dominica, Eritrea, Norway, Serbia, and Uruguay, reflecting the university's international reach.

MBZUAI's alumni network now includes 316 AI specialists, with nearly 80% of graduates working in Abu Dhabi within a year. As the university expands its offerings to 13 graduate programmes and introduces its first undergraduate programme, it continues its mission to influence the future of AI on multiple levels.
