Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, chaired a meeting of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, focusing on the latest progress and achievements of several government programmes, projects, and initiatives aimed at improving government performance.
According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed directed the creation of a comprehensive strategy for managing Abu Dhabi’s vital water resources. This strategy aims to support water security and strengthen the emirate’s role as a global platform for discussions on water’s future. By adopting advanced technologies and best practices, the strategy seeks to promote sustainable development and enhance global competitiveness in resource management.
The meeting also examined the updated model of the Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Government Performance, which aims to boost government efficiency and create a sustainable impact on public sector services. The award acknowledges high-performing entities and teams across the Abu Dhabi Government, focusing on results and long-term public value to improve community quality of life.
H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed received briefings on the Medeem initiative and the Numou Emirati Family Growth Programme, implemented by the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with strategic partners. These initiatives aim to enhance the stability of Emirati families and assist those preparing for marriage through various awareness and guidance programmes.
The Numou Emirati Family Growth Programme has contributed to improving family stability and supporting newlyweds through financial and social initiatives. The Medeem initiative continues to promote Emirati values in marriage and family life by organizing weddings inspired by Emirati heritage and equipping youth with life skills.
The meeting provided updates on the Mawaheb Talent Hub and its initiatives to support direct employment for job seekers through training, skills development, and entrepreneurship promotion. Since early 2025, the Mawaheb Talent Hub has hosted 92 open recruitment days.
H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed also reviewed updates on government projects related to infrastructure development, enhancing public service efficiency, and integrating smart technologies and AI solutions across government operations, all aimed at improving quality of life and ensuring social well-being and stability in Abu Dhabi.
