Khalifa University Enterprises and Sindan Partner to Boost Additive Manufacturing

Abu dhabi: INTRATOMICS Advanced Material Technologies, a subsidiary of Khalifa University Enterprises Company (KUEC) and a commercial spin-off of the Research and Innovation Centre for Graphene and 2D Materials (RIC2D), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sindan, the UAE's national hub for AI-driven advanced manufacturing, to advance additive manufacturing with next-generation materials. The agreement was formalized by Fahad Al Absi, CEO of INTRATOMICS, and Heyuan Huang, Managing Director and CEO of Sindan, during the Make It In the Emirates 2026 event.

According to Emirates News Agency, the collaboration underscores the partners' dedication to enhancing manufacturing capabilities in the UAE, contributing to local value creation, technology adoption, and industrial diversification. Fahad Al Absi emphasized that the partnership aligns INTRATOMICS' materials platform with established additive manufacturing operators like Sindan, facilitating the transition from material innovation to commercial deployment.

Heyuan Huang highlighted that the partnership enhances Sindan's ability to connect material innovation with industrial application. Working with INTRATOMICS allows Sindan to integrate advanced material capabilities into its platform, broadening access to high-performance materials and enabling scalable manufacturing use cases.

The partnership designates Sindan as a strategic offtaker for INTRATOMICS' advanced material feedstocks. INTRATOMICS will provide materials engineered for industrial-grade applications, supporting Sindan's capabilities in design, production, and advanced manufacturing services. Select Sindan systems will be used within the INTRATOMICS 2DWORKS facility in Abu Dhabi, creating a streamlined environment for material and manufacturing system integration, accelerating validation, application development, and industrial deployment.
