Kosovo’s Ruling Party Vet«vendosje Wins Snap Election

Pristina: Kosovo's left-wing ruling party Vet«vendosje (Self-Determination Movement) secured victory in the country's snap parliamentary election held on Sunday. Although the party emerged victorious, its vote share witnessed a decline compared to the previous election held in December 2025, according to preliminary results.

According to Emirates News Agency, with 97.2 percent of polling stations counted, Prime Minister Albin Kurti's Vet«vendosje party received 43.1 percent of the vote, as reported by the electoral commission in Pristina. The liberal Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) came in second with 21.2 percent, while the centre-right Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) garnered 17.7 percent. The conservative Alliance for the Future (AAK) secured 7.1 percent of the votes.
